This course examines human sexuality throughout history. Using a global case study approach, topics may include (but are not limited to) the history of: same sex sexuality, opposite-sex sexuality, prostitution, menstruation, medicalization of sexuality, sexual taboos, the influence of sexuality on law codes, religion, nationallism, colonialism, etc. Fulfilss open, liberal arts, humanities and social science elective.
