Presentation of fetal development, transition from intra to extrauterine environment, general principles of pregnancy, labor, and delivery, neonatal and pediatric respiratory procedures, ECMO therapy, high frequency ventilatory techniques, and ethical decision making as related to the acutely and chronically ill neonatal patient in the NICU. The topic of brain death will also be explored.
