This course focuses on the acquisition of basic listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Russian through dialogues, role playing situations and open-ended speech. It teaches the Russian alphabet, and prepares students to use basic grammatical structures correctly in a natural way for communication and enhances appreciation of cultural differences. Classroom activities are reinforced by assigned work using multimedia materials.
