Add to Personal Catalog This course provides students with a viable definition of organized crime, a historical overview from the 18th century to present, and the major theories behind why people become involved in organized crime. Topics include the development of organized crime in the northeast and its westward migration along with nontraditional organized crime. This course covers organized crime from the street-level to large international criminal enterprises. (3 hrs lec)
