EQST2520 — Equine Breeding
Add to Personal Catalog Management of the stallion and the mare in breeding. Topics include types of breeding practices, behavior and psychology of handling stallions, the mare in the breeding role, hormone cycles, artificial aids such as light and drug therapy, actual foaling of a mare, growth of the foal in the uterus, recognition of foaling problems, and care of the newborn foal and mare. (2 hrs lec, 2 hrs lab)
