HLED1221 — Standard First Aid and CPR

Add to Personal Catalog This certification course prepares students to cope when emergency care is needed and meets the requirements of employers. Students study the fundamental principles, knowledge, and skills of accident prevention, examination procedures and first aid care for victims of accidents or sudden illness before medical assistance is available. Current American Heart Association materials are used for First Aid, and adult, child and infant AED, and CPR training. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive an American Heart Association Heart Saver and First Adi certification card for laypersons. This course does not qualify for healthcare provider CPR. (2 hr lec)
