MUSC1030 — Written Theory I
Add to Personal Catalog Students study diatonic harmony and melody. Utilizing computer programs, students acquire skills and a conceptual understanding of scales, intervals, keys, triads, melodic organization, and four-part chorale writing as well as musical analysis, composing melodies, and harmonizing with primary and secondary triads. This course is the first of a four-semester theory sequence and is designed to be taken in conjunction with MUSC 1035 . (3 hrs lec)
