ASLN 125 — Visual Gestural Communication

The Visual Gestural Communication (VGC) course will focus on the non-language aspects of communication by developing skills in non-verbal communications through the use and understanding of facial expressions, gestures, pantomime, and body language. Students will create and perform stories and other projects using these elements. This course presents a series of activities designed to help students develop skills in communicating without words. These skills will direct students toward concepts in American Sign Language (ASL), communicating with minimal language persons, and creative performances. (Fall Only) Code 3 course fee.
