ASLN 230 — ASL-to-English Interpreting
This course examines the theory and practice of processing a signed message into spoken English. Emphasis will be on application of appropriate vocabulary selection; use of syntactically correct English sentences, and appropriate voicing register. Various interpreting process models will be introduced and discussed. Consecutive and simultaneous interpreting will be examined. (Fall Only) Code 2 course fee.
