REGISTERED NURSE During the first year, the foundations of nursing and nursing care of the adults focus on medical/surgical nursing. Content is introduced with therapeutic and professional communication, caring for a culturally diverse population, the nurse's role on health aging with older adults. The second semester builds from the foundational knowledge of nursing to caring for the family and includes care of children and women's health.
