Social Justice Studies for Transfer (ADT)
SOCIAL JUSTICE STUDIES FOR TRANSFER Social Justice Studies explores the important terrain between ideals of justice and everyday local, national, and understand systems of power, privilege, oppression, and resistance, focusing on four important categories of identity: race, gender, class, and sexuality. Fittingly, Social Justice Studies includes scholarship across a number of LGBTQ Studies as well as a range of traditional fields including art, cultural anthropology, film, history, literature, humanistic education and the development of critical intelligence. Ohlone’s Social Justice Studies courses are Studies. The most common career options for students with a Social Justice Studies degree include archivist, activist business person, community organizer, government analyst, journalist, lawyer, librarian, museum curator, politician, professor, researcher, teacher, and writer.
