EMS 1017 - Emergency Medical Technician EMS 1017 - Emergency Medical Technician 7 Credit Hours Course Description: This course prepares the EMT student for the national cognitive (written) exam and the Oklahoma state psychomotor (skills) exam. This course prepares students to enter the prehospital emergency medical services (EMS) field and provide basic life support. This course meets or exceeds the National EMS Educational Standards requirements, such as medical & trauma emergencies, airway management, shock management, and EMS operations among others. Field rotations are required. Prerequisites: EMS 1011 Intro to EMT
