EMS 2115 - Cardiovascular Emergencies EMS 2115 - Cardiovascular Emergencies 5 Credit Hours Course Description: This course provides an indepth study of cardiovascular emergencies. Topics include assessment and treatment of cardiac emergencies, cardiac pharmacology, and patient care. This course introduces the study of cardiovascular emergencies concerning ECG interpretation, including basic 12-lead interpretation. Topics include anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, electrophysiology, and rhythm interpretation. Upon completion, students will be able to manage the cardiac patient and recognize and interpret rhythms: Including labs and clinical/field shifts. Prerequisites: EMS 2044
