HIST 2203 - Native American History HIST 2203 - Native American History 3 Credit Hours Course Description: This course explores the histories and cultures of Native peoples in North America from pre-contact societies to the present. Students will examine the impact of colonization, forced removal, and assimilation, as well as the resilience, resistance, and cultural revitalization of Indigenous nations. Emphasis is placed on sovereignty, identity, and the continuing significance of Native voices and perspectives in shaping American history. Prerequisites: HIST 1483 or HIST 1493
