MU 1124 - Music Theory I MU 1124 - Music Theory I 4 Credit Hours Course Description: This course will develop notational skills in music theory through the study of triad function, beginning harmonic analysis, basic principles of voice leading, connection of SATB triads in root position and inversion, phrase structure, and cadences. The foregoing skills will be demonstra- ted through the partwriting of bass lines and reinforced through correlated aural and keyboard application exercises.
