OTA 1223 - Psychosocial Theory and Intervention OTA 1223 - Psychosocial Theory and Intervention 3 Credit Hours Course Description: Students will engage in study, discussion, and hands-on classroom/laboratory activities to develop the skills needed to implement Occupational Therapy intervention plans (individual and group) tailored to individuals impacted by specific psychosocial conditions. Students will gain an understanding of group dynamics, including the role of a group leader or facilitator to lead interventions and will demonstrate proficiency in utilizing methods and materials for planning, organizing, and leading activities for groups of various sizes and ages in a variety of social and clinical/therapeutic situations.
