ADS211 — Architectural Design I
Credits: This course requires students to apply their knowledge of design concepts and design process to “real-life” design problems. Site context and conceptualization, programming, space planning, exterior/interior aesthetics, fenestration, finishes, furniture, structure, and design development will be explored. Experimentation with sustainable design principles, space, form, light, and proportion will be stressed. Significant trends in interior architecture and architectural design, as practiced by recent leading designers will be discussed.3
