EMS130 — Prehospital Cardiology and Pulmonology
Credits: This course is designed to develop and refine the paramedic student’s patient assessment techniques and develop the critical thinking and decision making necessary to effectively manage the prehospital care of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems. Students will be introduced to the pathophysiology of disease and disease process, and review human anatomy and physiology as it relates to prehospital medicine. Students will also develop new skill sets required to effectively manage these patients in a prehospital setting.
