Credits: Engineering Mechanics I: Statics topics will include: basic concepts, vector algebra, forces, moments about a point and a line; free body diagrams, equilibrium conditions In two and three dimensions; plane trusses, frames and machines, forces in beams and cables; application of friction in machines; centroids and moments of inertia in lines, area and volumes; principle axes and principal moments of inertia, and Mohr’s Circle.
