Credits: This course is a study of world history and global issues through an examination of the British Empire in the twentieth century. Students will assess how British power operated and how it controlled its huge far-flung Empire. Independence movements from both the British and indigenous populations’ perspectives, and the lasting ramifications of British rule, will be investigated. Designation(s): Liberal Arts
