MUS202K — Keyboard Harmony II

Credits: The goal of this course is to familiarize students with advanced concepts involved in harmonizing melodies at the piano, particularly as those concepts apply to playing from a “lead sheet” (i.e., melodies with chord symbols) and to develop the necessary skill to harmonize melodies without chord symbols. Aural skills related to harmonizing, singing, and accompanying melodic lines in a classroom setting will be included. This course is a continuation of MUS 201K with the additions of more complex chromatic harmony and piano texture.
