SUS101 — Introduction to Sustainability

Credits: This course introduces students to a wide variety of Earth Systems concepts and provides sufficient background knowledge so that students can interpret and intelligently discuss sustainability issues. Students will explore how today’s human societies can endure in the face of global change, ecosystem degradation, and resource limitations. Key knowledge areas of sustainability theory and practice include permaculture, population, ecosystems, global change, energy, agriculture, water, environmental economics and policy, ethics, and cultural history.
