CHN 201 - Intermediate Chinese 1 CHN 201 - Intermediate Chinese 1 Credits/Units: 3 cr. (Fall Only) The Intermediate Chinese 1 course further develops the language and cultural foundations that were set in Elementary Chinese 1 and Elementary Chinese 2 , including vocabulary, pronunciation, mastery of simple conversations, and use of Chinese in social situations. An interactive and multimedia approach continues to be a key part of the effort to improve students’ ability in listening, speaking, reading, and writing Chinese.
