DNT 205 - Periodontology DNT 205 - Periodontology Credits/Units: 2 cr. (Fall Only) This course is designed to study the dental specialty of Periodontics and the role of the dental hygienist in the prevention, detection, treatment and maintenance of periodontal diseases. The content of the lectures will be applied to the clinical process of dental hygiene care including assessment, treatment planning, nonsurgical periodontal instrumentation, and evaluation of the periodontium during supportive periodontal therapy. Corequisites: DNT 201 , DNT 203 , DNT 207 Pre/corequisite: BIO 125
