ENG 230 - African-American Literature ENG 230 - African-American Literature Credits/Units: 3 cr. A survey of the works of representative African American folktales and African American writers. Readings explore the construction of African American identities, communities, and social roles, as well as the societal structures and systems that create and perpetuate dynamics of power, privilege, oppression, and opportunity that have shaped African American experiences and literature. Some research is required. General Education Designation: (G6A, G7A)
