JPN 101 - Elementary Japanese 1 JPN 101 - Elementary Japanese 1 Credits/Units: 3 cr. A first year, introductory level course in spoken and written Japanese for students who have not previously studied the language. The class utilizes an interactive approach to develop students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, as well as basic vocabulary. The class also explores cultural and historical factors that are relevant to understanding the language.
