PES 413 - Stretch For Wellness PES 413 - Stretch For Wellness Credits/Units: .5 cr. This course is designed to enhance one’s knowledge of the benefits of stretching, various types of stretching and when and what stretching exercise are appropriate for different exercise and sport activities. This class focuses on the role of flexibility as an important health-related component of physical fitness, and an integral part of a wellness program. Students will learn a variety of stretching techniques that may promote increased flexibility and a range of motion, improved performance, reduces risk of injury, improved posture, and stress management/reduction. Students are provided with the basic knowledge of flexibility training: principles, applications, programs and proper technique. Note: (1/2 semester each)
