Information is powerful but complicated. Using information successfully academically and in everyday life involves understanding the format, context and purpose of information, as well as the information creators’ perspective and point of view, and level of expertise. Students develop confidence in their ability to find and evaluate information in a variety of formats as they learn to challenge misinformation and learn how information works both in academics and beyond.
