Focus on daily stable operations in the care and management of horses. Practical experience in basic horse husbandry, horsemanship, and stable management. Development of ground handling skills and use of lunge line and round penning techniques. Topics include feeding, watering, stable sanitation, grooming, bathing, vaccines, parasite control, safety, horse behavior, health, wounds and their treatments, and record keeping.
