ENRG1042 — Turbine-Generators and Auxiliaries

3 hr(s). This course is designed to teach students advanced power generation systems related to turbine-generators. Students will learn the operating principles of traditional combustion, steam, and combined cycle turbine-generator systems along with their auxiliary subsytems such as gland seals, lubrication, generator cooling, and electro-hydraulic control systems. Students will also be introduced to turbine-generators used in wind and hydroelectric power generation systems. Restriction(s): Applied Process Technology, Petroleum Technology, and Advanced Welding
