MLAB2218L — Hematology Lab

1 hr(s). The lab emphasizes the morphology and identification of normal and abnormal human blood cells. Applications and techniques of measurement used in performing the complete blood count, coagulation studies, and special hematological procedures will be used in the laboratory. Students will correlate laboratory findings with hematological disease and coagulopathies, while practicing basic troubleshooting of errors and discrepancies. Successful completion of this course with a “C” or better is required for graduation. Prerequisite(s): MLAB 2216 , MLAB 2218 concurrently Restriction(s): Medical Laboratory Technology majors only
