MLAB2221 — Clinical Practicum I
3 hr(s). This course is designed to orient the students to the Clinical Laboratory. Student will be assigned to a major area of the laboratory (chemistry, hematology, immunohematology, or microbiology). Laboratory safety, specimen collection including phlebotomy, specimen processing and analysis, data acquisition, quality assurance and sample validation, instrument troubleshooting, sample reporting including calculations, charting and clinical correlation will be included.
