Students will explore the concepts of composition through guided projects and demonstrations, using a variety of materials and techniques to build an understanding of the foundation of two-dimensional expression, and they will explain the historical and contemporary perspectives that influence two-dimensional design and the arts. Students will use a creative thinking process to experiment, brainstorm, 65 Course Listings & Descriptions and evaluate the effectiveness of personal artwork through critique. Students will also practice safety measures appropriate to the materials and processes for creating art works.
