Topics include fundamental operating principles of engines and diagnosis, inspection, adjustment, and repair of automotive engines using appropriate service information. In addition, students will safely perform basic diagnosis and repair of manual 74 and hydraulic clutches using appropriate tools, equipment, procedures, and service information. The student will develop skills necessary to perform in-car automatic transmission service. In addition, students will develop an understanding of the operation and service of torque converters, planetary gear trains and hydraulic components for front and rear-wheeled drive vehicles.
