Within this project students will apply skills attained from prior courses: system design (CAD), prints (GD&T), material selection, and project management. Students will be required to take an idea from concept to a working prototype. Students are expected to work independently. Students will learn to identify, install, maintain, and repair typical mechanical parts and assemblies such as gears, bearings, housings, slides, racks, linkages, pistons, seals, belts, and fixture elements.
