Students will learn how to construct a positive classroom environment that supports access and engagement for all students; how to develop predictable environments that maximize learning; and create classrooms which fosters evidence-based strategies to guide children’s behaviors. Students will apply their knowledge of social-emotional development to support children's healthy social-emotional development, engagement with others, and academic success. It investigates the importance of the family/school partnership, methods of effectively communicating with families, and identifies community organizations and networks that support families.
