ART-2550 — Sculpture II
In this studio course, students continue to study and explore sculptural processes. The elements and principles of three-dimensional art and design are emphasized as a means to creating engaging sculptural forms. A greater emphasis is placed on students’ study and development of a body of work through independent selection of materials, and exploration of aesthetic, formal, and conceptual possibilities in sculptural form. Students expand their knowledge of safe studio practices, how to use and care for studio equipment, and how to care for and present their artwork. Additionally, students articulate three-dimensional elements and principles of art and design through verbal and written critiques. Course
