BIO-1050 — Human Biology
An introduction to biological principles governing human health. This course is intended for students pursuing careers in nursing and allied health fields but is open to all students. Topics covered include basic chemistry, cell biology, and genetics, along with an introduction to human organ systems. Emphasis will be placed on the ability to think critically and to draw conclusions based on evidence. Students interested in pursuing careers in biology, medicine, and certain other health professions should take BIO-1130 and BIO-1140 , not BIO-1050. Consult with an advisor to determine if this course is appropriate. Credit may not be earned for both BIO-1050 and BIO-1010 or BIO-1140, toward the same degree. Course
