EGR-2300 — Materials Science for Engineers and Scientists
Introduces the foundations of the chemistry and physics of materials used in engineering applications. Develops the relationship between the atomic and molecular structure of materials and the macroscopic properties and performance of engineering material. In particular, includes thorough discussion of the chemical and physical properties of metals, ceramics, polymers, semiconductors, superconductors, and nanomaterials. Course
Prerequisites: EGR-1010, CHM-2000
