This course focuses on the effective management of current and future financial resources, analysis of short- and long-term financial goals and the roles of financial institutions. Students describe fundamental financial concepts including assets, liabilities, time value of money, equity and net worth. Students explore different financing, saving, and investment options and identify effective long term investment strategies. Students also learn how to create a personal budget and identify tax saving strategies. Students examine the importance of credit, debt and risk management in protecting personal finances, and they identify the strategies for managing debt and maintaining good credit. Furthermore, students discuss the importance of retirement planning and explore different retirement savings options. Course
