MAS-1060 — Introduction to Computerized Medical Practice

Explores evolving computer technology, teaches the use of the microcomputer as a medical office productivity tool, and lays the foundations for the development of standard keyboarding dexterity. Becoming fluent in necessary technology applications is integrated into the course and may include such topics as coding, word-processing, use of e-mail, web browsers, databases, and spreadsheets. Specific emphasis will be placed on using a word processor to transcribe the most common types of medical reports used in outpatient medical practices. Course
