This course prepares the student for the externship experience, national certification, and graduation. Focus is placed on the traits and behaviors of the professional medical assistant and the importance of credentialing. Standards of oral and written professionalism are highlighted using mock interviews, cover letters, and resumes. Students review general, administrative, and clinical concepts and competencies based on national guidelines for medical assisting graduates. Course
