MUS-1005 — Fundamentals of Music Theory
This course introduces students to the basic elements of music and is intended for students who lack a strong background in the fundamentals of musical elements and notation. Students learn note identification, staff notation, basics of rhythm and meter, major and minor key signatures, scale construction, triads and seventh chords, basic keyboard skills, and basic harmonic function.
