NUM-2100 — Introduction to Clinical Nuclear Medicine
This course is an extension of previous coursework that further prepares students to enter the clinical environment. Students learn the principles of good body mechanics and safe patient handling in order to safely and efficiently transfer and transport patients for imaging procedures. Through a variety of competency-based learning modules students demonstrate proficiency in various venipuncture techniques, ECG operation and cardiac rhythm recognition, and responding to emergencies that may arise in the nuclear medicine department.
