RAD-2580 — Image Production and Imaging Equipment II
Continuation of RAD-1500, exploring radiographic imaging systems in greater depth to include digital radiography. Quality control of radiographic equipment and analysis of common equipment malfunctions are expanded upon. Image acquisition and processing of digital radiography systems are included. Students will identify types of digital radiographic systems, compare/contrast components of digital image processing, differentiate between exposure factors and post-processing techniques. In addition, students will compare/contrast factors that control or influence the digital radiographic image formation, evaluate radiographic images using quality control measure/parameters, and describe the ability for reduced patient exposure in imaging procedures.
