TED-2800 — Materials for Teaching Reading

Introduces students to a variety of materials to be used for the purposes of developing phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency. Students will learn to select and evaluate materials as well as utilize the expertise of parents and other members of the community to fulfill goals of the reading program. This course is intended for those persons who have a bachelor’s degree and are seeking initial teacher certification and for teachers seeking recertification. Formerly: EDU 2130. Course
