BE 27CL — ESL Reading Writing Wksp CLIP
The CUNY Language Immersion Program (CLIP) is designed for English as a Second Language (ESL) students who need to increase their proficiency in academic English in preparation for college study. In an intensive setting of 25 hours a week, students will have the opportunity to increase their vocabulary knowledge, grammatical accuracy and academic reading and writing skills in paragraph and essay formats covering a range of academic genres. There will also be a focus on listening comprehension and note-taking skills as well as formal oral presentations. Lastly, students will be provided with a means to develop their critical thinking skills through an interdisciplinary curriculum.
