BE 37CL — ESL Workshop CLIP Low Beginner
BE 37CL is the entry-level section of the CUNY Language Immersion Program (CLIP), designed for English as a Second Language (ESL) students who are early in their study of English and need to increase their proficiency in academic English in preparation for college study. In an intensive setting of 25 hours a week, students will have the opportunity to increase their vocabulary knowledge, grammatical accuracy and academic reading and writing skills in paragraph and essay formats covering a range of academic genres. The interdisciplinary, content-focused curriculum includes attention to listening comprehension and note-taking skills as well as formal oral presentations.
