BE 42CL — ESL Workshop CLIP Advanced
BE 42CL is an intermediate section of the CUNY Language Immersion Program (CLIP), designed for English as a Second Language (ESL) students who have progressed in their study of English but need to continue to increase their proficiency in academic English in preparation for credit-level college courses. In an intensive setting of 25 hours a week, students will have the opportunity to increase their vocabulary knowledge, grammatical accuracy and academic reading and writing skills in paragraph and essay formats covering a range of academic genres. The interdisciplinary, content-focused curriculum includes attention to listening comprehension and note-taking skills as well as formal oral presentations.
