BU 600 — Business Internships
Open to business majors in degree programs and to students enrolled in the Medical Assistant A.A.S. and the Medical Office Certificate curricula. Students planning to register for the internship should contact the Business Department Internship Faculty Coordinator and should have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA and 30 credits or more or permission of the department The internship experience in business includes employment in a field that supplements classroom learning. Students will be assisted with their search for an internship and are required to work a minimum of 135 hours during the semester. Students participate in seminars and submit a final paper related to their work experience. A written evaluation from the employer may be required. Students receive a grade of pass or fail.
